Valencia CF’s soccer camp for women gets underway in Saudi Arabia

40 players take part in Jeddah in this pioneering experience to develop women's football

Around 40 players will be taking part in this first pioneering experience in which Valencia CF are showing their commitment to developing women's football in Saudi Arabia, just days before the Spanish Super Cup, in which Valencia CF will be taking part as finalists of the last edition of the Copa del Rey,  which is set to be played in this Middle Eastern country.

Two coaches from the VCF Academy, Natalia García and Ramón Mompó, are accompanying them on this Women's Campus that Valencia CF is running in collaboration with the Jeddah Pro Football Academy and The Futbol Office. During the three days they will have training sessions and sessions on the pitch to learn first-hand about the working methodology of the VCF Academy.

The most important thing is that these 40 players can enjoy football and receive an important boost in their desire to play this sport, which in Saudi Arabia is taking its first steps after the creation in 2022 of the women's national league and the women's national team.

Commitment to women

This 1st Valencia CF Women's Campus in Saudi Arabia is another example of Valencia CF's commitment to equality and the empowerment of women, which was already reflected in the agreement signed in 2015 by president Layhoon Chan with UN Women to promote gender equality.

Promoting women's football in the Middle East

Throughout these 3 days of training, players and players of different ages will have the opportunity to learn on the pitch the working methodology of the VCF Academy, one of the best in Europe in the training of players for the elite, according to the latest reports of the CIES Football Observatory.

This Valencia CF Campus in Saudi Arabia is a first step in a process with which Valencia CF aims to develop women's football in various countries in the Middle East that have already shown interest in working with Valencia CF to promote women's football, as is already being done in many of the VCF Soccer Academies in Seattle, Houston, Canada and Greece, among others.

Valencia CF Soccer Academy Programs

The VCF Soccer Camps that Valencia CF hold in various countries around the world are part of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs, which together with the VCF Soccer Academies that the club has in strategic markets in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia, help to expand the Valencia CF brand and what its colours symbolise worldwide. This Internationalisation Strategy has been a finalist in the World Football Summit Awards 2022.

The main objective of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs, in addition to expanding the image of Valencia CF and there philosophy around the world, is to take the training methodology of Valencia CF to any part of the planet and spread the core values that always accompany this Club, making the participants enjoy and learn from the best professionals of the Valencia CF Academy.

The Valencia CF Soccer Camps, Training Stages, the VCF Soccer Academy and the Sports Consultancy services are just some examples of this great project. - More information: https://academia.valenciacf.com/es/academy-portal/academy-programs
